High purity tantalum sputtering targets shipped to South Korea
Application of high-purity tantalum construction targets
High-performance tantalum sputtering materials can be used for thin film coating, CD-ROM, decoration, flat panel displays, functional coating, and other optical information storage space industries, glass coating industries such as automotive glass and architectural glass, optical communications, etc.
Capacitors
About half of the tantalum consumed each year is used in the electronics industry, mainly as capacitor powder and wire. Tantalum capacitors are widely used in telecommunications, data storage, and implantable medical devices.
Semiconductors
Using the physical vapor deposition (PVD) process, tantalum sputtering targets are "sputtered" onto semiconductor substrates to form thin film diffusions to protect copper interconnects. Tantalum sputtering targets can also be used for magnetic storage media, inkjet printer heads, and flat panel displays.
Engine turbine blades
The high melting point and corrosion resistance of tantalum materials make them ideal for alloying applications, with the main uses being turbine blades for aircraft engines and land-based gas turbines.
Chemical processing equipment
Tantalum has extremely high corrosion resistance and high temperature properties, making the metal an ideal construction material for containers, pipes, valves, and heat exchanger linings in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
