1) Raw material preparation: Tantalum powder with a purity greater than 99.95% is usually used. The tantalum powder is loaded into a mold and 100-300 MPa pressure is applied to form a blank.
2) Vacuum sintering: It is carried out at high temperature (2000-2200℃) and high vacuum (<10^-3 Pa) to diffuse and combine the particles to form a dense structure.
3) Rolling: The sintered blank is rolled to the target thickness (such as 0.1-1.0 mm) through multiple hot rolling or cold rolling. Annealing is required during the process to eliminate work hardening.
4)Punching/wire cutting: Cut the rolled tantalum plate into discs with a dimensional accuracy of ±0.02 mm.
5)Surface grinding and polishing: Use diamond grinding wheels or chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) to ensure surface roughness Ra < 0.1 μm.
6)Heat treatment: Eliminate stress at 1200-1500°C to optimize grain uniformity (critical for high-reliability capacitors).
Surface treatment: Pickling: Remove the oxide layer with a mixture of HF+HNO3.

a. Product inspection

Check the surface to confirm that there are no scratches, pits, oxidation spots and contaminants.
Dimension re-measurement: Thickness, diameter, parallelism (such as ±0.02 mm tolerance) are randomly inspected with a micrometer or optical measuring instrument.
b. Packaging material inspection
Inner packaging: Vacuum packaging is used inside to isolate oxygen and contaminants. Use foam or other fillers to fix the product position.
Outer packaging: Customized wooden box size, fixed with metal straps on the outside.
