On 3 October, niobobaotite, a new mineral discovered by researchers from China National Geoscience and Technology Company Limited (Beijing Geological Research Institute of Nuclear Industry), was officially approved by the International Mineralogical Association Committee for the Nomenclature and Classification of New Minerals (IMA CNMNC) under the approval number of IMA 2022-127a.
