Product Characteristics

High purity molybdenum tubes have a high melting point, high strength, long life, good high-temperature resistance, etc. They are widely used in many fields such as hot field, vacuum coating, solar energy, sapphire crystal, optoelectronics, semiconductor, special ceramics, light source lighting, mechanical parts, glass manufacturing, glass fiber, refractory fiber, rare earth metallurgy, industrial kilns, etc. A molybdenum tube is a non-ferrous alloy composed of molybdenum as the base and adding other elements. Titanium, zirconium, and hafnium elements not only play a solid solution strengthening role for molybdenum alloys and maintain the low-temperature plasticity of the alloy but also form a stable and diffusely distributed carbide phase, which improves the strength and recrystallization temperature of the alloy. 


The production process of high purity molybdenum tubes 

 round billet → heating → perforation → three rolls of slant rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion → deburring → sizing (or reducing) → cool → straightening → hydro testing (or flaw detection) → marking → storage. Molybdenum tubes are mainly used as thermocouple protection tubes in high-temperature furnaces, sapphire single crystal furnaces, and high-temperature sintering furnace support parts.

The main strengthening paths for molybdenum alloys are solid solution strengthening, precipitation strengthening, and work hardening. Molybdenum alloy sheets, strips, foils, tubes, rods, wires, and profiles can be produced through plastic processing, which also increases their strength and improves low-temperature plasticity.
