Production Method of Wire-cut Molybdenum Wire

Wire-cut molybdenum wire is a molybdenum product based on refractory metal molybdenum and adding other metal elements such as lanthanum or magnesium. It has the characteristics of high strength, good conductivity, good toughness, and low elongation. The specific steps of the production method of wire-cut molybdenum wire are as follows:

Molybdnum Wires Supplier

1) Prepare raw materials: solid molybdenum dioxide, 0.005% to 0.2% solid solution metal elements, and 0.05% to 0.45% rare earth oxides.

2) In liquid-type titanium-containing compounds, liquid-type zirconium-containing compounds, liquid-type cobalt-containing compounds, liquid-type tungsten-containing compounds, liquid-type nickel-containing compounds, liquid-type magnesium-containing compounds, liquid-type hafnium-containing compounds, liquid type rhenium-containing compounds Select at least one liquid compound to add to the solid molybdenum dioxide.

3) Among the liquid lanthanum-containing compound, liquid yttrium-containing compound, liquid cerium-containing compound, and liquid neodymium-containing compound, at least one liquid compound is selected and added to the solid molybdenum dioxide prepared in step 2), and mixed After uniformity, carry out hydrogen reduction to obtain molybdenum powder containing solid solution metal elements and rare earth oxides.

4) The molybdenum powder obtained in step 3) is pressed into a molybdenum billet by isostatic pressing, and then sintered in an intermediate frequency furnace, and the sintered molybdenum billet is rolled into a molybdenum wire rod with a diameter of about 6-8mm through a rolling mill The production temperature is 1200-1400°C.

5) The molybdenum wire rod is processed to the diameter of the molybdenum wire rod by hammer stringing, and then hot wire drawing, annealing, and cold wire drawing can be made to produce wire-cut molybdenum wire with a tensile strength between 1900 and 2300 MPa.

The advantages of this production technology are: adding solid solution metal elements can properly increase the strength of molybdenum wire; adding rare earth oxides can improve the strength, high-temperature resistance, and wear resistance of molybdenum wire; the use of intermediate annealing process can reduce the occurrence of product cracks Produced; the multi-mode cold drawing process of the finished product can achieve the effect of work hardening and increasing strength.
