As high-purity, precision metal products, tantalum wafers require packaging focused on three key objectives: protection against contamination, oxidation, and physical damage, while also ensuring convenient storage and safe transportation. The specific packaging method should be designed based on product specifications (size, thickness), purity grade, and application (e.g., electronic grade, industrial grade). Common packaging solutions are as follows:
Inner Packaging
Tantalum wafers are vacuum-packed to protect them from oil, air, and moisture. For mirror-polished or ultra-thin tantalum wafers (thickness ≤ 0.5mm), clean, lint-free soft paper or silicone-oiled paper can be placed inside the film to further reduce friction scratches.

Intermediate Packaging
Grouped wafers are placed in anti-static plastic bags or cardboard boxes. The spaces inside the box are filled with pearl cotton or bubble wrap to prevent collisions during transportation. For large tantalum wafers (diameter > 100mm), wooden or plastic dividers (covered with clean PE film) are used, with a divider placed between every two to three wafers to reduce stacking pressure.

Outer packaging: Standard export wooden crates are clearly labeled and kept clean to ensure the product's surface condition and performance remain intact upon delivery.
