Description
Grade 7 Titanium Plate(Ti-0.2pd) is a d-type titanium alloy plate made of industrial pure titanium by adding a small amount of precious metal Pd. The inclusion of Pd not only greatly enhances the alloy's corrosion resistance in reducing medium but also enhances it in oxidizing medium. The best resistance to crevice corrosion is therefore found in grade 7 titanium plate.The cost of Grade 7 titanium plate is relatively high due to the addition of Pd.

The impact of palladium on titanium's ability to resist corrosion
The corrosion rate of titanium in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid is greatly reduced when Pd added to Grade 7 titanium reaches 0.1%-0.2%, and it increases when the Pd quantity is less than 0.05%. The titanium alloy containing 0.13% Pd has adequate corrosion resistance when the acid concentration is low. However, Ti-0.2pd has stronger corrosion resistance at higher acid concentrations, making it more appropriate.
Application
In environments with diluted hydrochloric acid, diluted sulfuric acid, and diluted phosphoric acid, Grade 7 Titanium Plate/Sheet is primarily used. In order to avoid crevice corrosion, it is also frequently employed in titanium equipment. Additionally suited for situations with alternating oxidizing and reducing conditions is grade 7 titanium.
