Tungsten ball is the general term for tungsten alloy ball and tungsten carbide ball.

At 18g/cc (about 60% denser than lead), the penetration energy is so high that one can significantly reduce pellet size and greatly increase the number of pellets and pattern density, while increasing the depth of pellet penetration to the target. This allows one to greatly increase the performance of a typical large calibre shotgun, or reduce the bore size or payload without giving up performance - or both.

III.Use

The material of pure tungsten, which has a maximum density of over 19.2g/cm3, is utilized to make pure tungsten balls. Another rationale for using an applicator.

Tungsten fine bullets are used in shotgun shooting. The pellets disperse as they leave the barrel and the burning energy is distributed between the pellets, which means that the energy of anyone pellet is quite low. In a hunting environment, this product makes the shotgun primarily useful for hunting birds and other small games.

When it comes to hunting, penetration energy plays a key role in hitting the target. Tungsten is one of the densest metals in the world with a density of 19.3 g/cm3 compared to 7.87 g/cm3 for steel and 11.3 g/cm3 for lead. Tungsten Super Shot (TSS) is a typical carbide product made from 95% tungsten powder, 5% nickel powder, and iron powder and has a density of up to 18-18.3 g/cc, which is 60% higher than that of conventional lead shot.

 

Tungsten alloy ball is an alloy with Ni and Fe, or another metal element to improve other properties of tungsten, such as to make unbrittle and easy to be processed. Words can be imprinted on tungsten alloy balls, but not on balls made entirely of metal.

 

Tungsten carbide ball is the hardest and used where extreme hardness and wear resistance is required; in such applications as bearings, ball screws, valves, and flowmeters. Additionally, TC balls are employed as pivots, detents, and tips for gages and tracers. Tungsten carbide balls in decimal-inch sizes are frequently used for ballizing or full sizing. TC balls are employed for gauging and verification as well.
