Overview of molybdenum (Mo) targets

Molybdenum targets, molybdenum is a silver-white metal, with molybdenum atomic radius of 0.14nm, an atomic volume of 235.5px/mol, coordination number 8, the crystal is Az-type body-centered cubic crystal system, the space group is Oh (lm3m), so far it has not been found to have isomeric transformation. The lattice parameters of molybdenum at room temperature are between 0.31467 and 0.31475 nm, varying with the impurity content. The density of molybdenum is 10.23 g/cm, about half that of tungsten (tungsten density 19.36 g/cm). Molybdenum has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion of 4.9 x 10/°C at 20 to 100°C; it has a high thermal conductivity of 142.35 w/(m-k). The resistivity of molybdenum is low: 5.17×-10Ω-cm at 0°C; 24.6×-10Ω-cm at 800°C; 72×-10Ω-cm at 2400°C. 


Molybdenum is a paramagnet, with a specific magnetization coefficient of 0.93×10cm/g at 25°C for 99.99% pure molybdenum. The specific heat of molybdenum is 242. 8J/(kg-k) at 25°C.
