Tantalum 2.5 Wungsten Tube

 

Tantalum and tungsten powders are produced and combined in a drum mixer for 24 hours to create the tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy. To obtain fine powder, sieve the combined powder through a 120 mesh sieve. The fine powder is then put through a 500 tons oil press to create alloy bars.
To create coarse ingots, place the alloy bars in a vacuum sintering furnace. By melting an alloy at least twice in a vacuum electron beam furnace, alloy billets are created.

 

The following steps are used in the Tantalum 2.5 Wungsten Tube and plate preparation process:

(1) To produce forged thick slabs of the tantalum-2.5-tungsten alloy, ingots are first cold-forged, followed by vacuum annealing. (2) To produce rolled slabs, the forged thick slabs were then cold-rolled 1 N times (N>= 1). The slab was vacuum annealed after each cold rolling step to produce the completed Tantalum 2.5 Tungsten alloy sheet or plate.
