Zirconium Alloy Tube

Industrial uses of zirconium alloy tubes:
Gas Absorber
Zirconium absorbs nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen as strongly as lithium and titanium. When the temperature exceeds 900 degrees Celsius, zirconium can violently absorb nitrogen; at 200 degrees Celsius, one hundred grams of zirconium metal can absorb eight hundred and seventeen litres of hydrogen, which is more than eight hundred thousand times that of iron.
One hundred grams of zirconium metal can absorb 817 litres of hydrogen gas at 200°C, which is more than 800,000 times that of iron. This property of zirconium has been used extensively, for example in the electric vacuum industry, where zirconium powder is widely used to coat the surfaces of anodes and other heated parts of electric vacuum components and instruments
It is used to absorb residual gases in vacuum tubes to make high vacuum electron tubes and other electric vacuum instruments, thus improving their quality and extending their service life.
Metallurgical role
Zirconium can also be used as a "vitamin" in the metallurgical industry, playing a powerful role in deoxidation, nitrogen removal and sulphur removal. The addition of just one thousandth of zirconium to steel increases its hardness and strength dramatically; armoured steel containing zirconium.
Zirconium is mixed into copper and drawn into copper wire. The electrical capacity of the wire is not weakened, but the melting percentage is greatly increased, and it is used as a high voltage wire.
Zirconium-containing zinc-magnesium alloy, light and high temperature resistant, twice as strong as ordinary magnesium alloy, can be used in the manufacture of jet engine components.
