Classification by material
①Molybdenum content in pure molybdenum rods is greater than 99.95%.
②High temperature molybdenum rods (molybdenum-lanthanum alloy rods): containing 0.4~1.2% lanthanum, molybdenum content is the residual amount except for impurities.
③TZM molybdenum rods: 0.4~0.6Ti, 0.07~0.12Zr, 0.01~0.05C.
Applications:
①For the manufacture of electric vacuum devices and parts for electric light sources.

Application in the paper industry.
The use in the paper industry results in good paper brightness, a solid structure, good writing, even coating, low friction, easy moisture removal and easy drying. As a result of the successful switch from acid to alkaline processes in the world paper industry from the early 1980s, the use of fillers has been revolutionised: instead of wood paddles and other pigments, it improve the brightness, impermeability, voidiness and bulk density of paper. Alkaline-based processes are mainly used for the production of fine printing and writing paper, and it can be used for some important papers such as newsprint, although they are produced using an acid-based environment. Heavy calcium is now widely used in polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene and various unsaturated resins, of which PVC products are the earliest and largest market for it, for example, in soft polyethylene wire, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl chloride tiles, calcium plastic materials, accounting for 20% to 50%, in polyethylene, polypropylene packaging materials, accounting for 10% to 30%, in automotive parts, canopy, accounting for 20% to 60%.
It is used in the production of paints and coatings.
