Tantalum Alloy-122
T-122 Introduction
An alloy of tantalum, tungsten, and hafnium is created by adding a specific quantity of tungsten and hafnium to the tantalum basis. In the temperature range of 93 °C to 1426 °C, tantalum tungsten hafnium alloy exhibits outstanding thermal stability and high creep strength. Tantalum Alloy-122 was successfully developed in the United States between 1960 and 1963. By reinforcing schedule, tantalum tungsten hafnium alloy is split into solid-soluble strengthening alloy and dispersion strengthened alloy.
