Tantalum Sheathed Thermocouple

The production process of Tantalum Sheathed Thermocouple mainly includes four main steps: forging, swaging, polishing, and punching.

Forging: Firstly, the tantalum billet is preliminarily formed through the forging process. During the forging process, tantalum billets undergo plastic deformation at high temperatures, forming a bar shape. After cooling, they are hollowed out to form the desired pipe material. During the forging process, it is necessary to protect the metal surface from oxidation, usually using methods such as salt bath heating, coating, cladding, or inert gas protection.

Rotary forging: Subsequently, the flange is subjected to rotary forging, which strikes the workpiece through high-frequency radial reciprocating motion, causing radial compression and length extension deformation of the workpiece during rotation and axial movement.

Punching: According to the requirements of the drawing, drill holes on the flange with a uniform diameter and a smooth inner surface.

Polishing: Finally, the cold-rolled tantalum tube is polished to obtain a smooth surface. The polishing process can remove surface defects generated during the cold rolling process, improving the smoothness and appearance quality of the pipe.

After processing, Yusheng Metal will conduct tantalum flaw detection on the product to ensure its quality. Ultrasonic testing process: Penetrant testing: Penetrant testing → Cleaning → Imaging → Observation.
