Nitinol Tube

Shape memory and superelasticity are two distinct yet closely related characteristics of the metal alloy nitinol. In a small temperature range just above the transformation temperature, superelasticity develops; under these circumstances, heating is not required to restore the pre-deformation shape.Only the Superelastic Effect, which is an elastic (reversible) reaction to applied temperature and is brought on by a phase transition between the austenitic and martensitic phases of a crystal, is available for nitinol tubes.

Active Austenite Finish Temperature
Utilizing the bend and free recovery method outlined in Test Method ASTM F 2082-15, the austenite finish temperature of the finished tube (active Af) with an outer diameter in the range of 0.25 to 7.0 mm (0.01 to 0.275 in) must be recorded on representative whole round tube sample(s).

length and straightness
The length of the nitinol tube can be delivered either exactly or randomly; for orders with random lengths, a maximum and minimum length must be specified. Discussions about measurement techniques and straightness requirements are required.

Medical: bone cement conveyors, nickel-titanium stents, nickel-titanium stent parts, dental items, catheters, and needles.
Civil: pipe joints, memory alloy rings, sensor fasteners, etc.
