Forging: A one-time forging process is carried out on niobium ingots with a purity of 99.99%. The forging method is to first elongate axially and then thicken radially, with a deformation of 50-80% for axial elongation and 50-80% for radial thickening. The temperature for one forging is 400-600 ℃.

Acid washing: The forged niobium ingot is acid washed using a mixed acid solution of sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and nitric acid. The pickling time is 2-5 minutes.

Vacuum annealing: The niobium ingot after acid pickling is subjected to vacuum annealing at a temperature of 1000-1200 ℃ and a vacuum degree of ≤ 0.2pa. Vacuum annealing needs to be carried out once, twice, and three times, with the same temperature and degree of vacuum for each annealing.

Rolling: After multiple forging, acid washing, and vacuum annealing, staggered rolling is performed to obtain the desired shape and size of the target material.

Final processing: The rolled niobium target material is subjected to three acid washes and three vacuum annealing to ensure its purity and density. The final high-purity niobium target material has high density and good conductivity.
